Your first facial should feel calm, not like a test. A little prep helps us work safer and helps you leave with better results — less surprise redness, better product choices, and clear aftercare.
The night before
- Pause retinoids and strong acids (AHAs, BHAs, high-strength vitamin C) the night before peels or advanced tech.
- Skip DIY extractions and harsh scrubs for several days prior.
- Moisturize as usual — dry, stripped skin is harder to treat kindly.
- Note anything we should know: allergies, pregnancy, recent injectables, cold sores history, medications that increase sensitivity.
Day of your appointment
- Come with clean skin if you can; we cleanse in-room either way.
- Light moisturizer is fine. Heavy makeup means extra cleanse time (still okay).
- Eat a light meal if you tend to get lightheaded when lying still.
- Arrive a few minutes early to settle — private rooms run on appointment time, not walk-in rush.
What to wear A top that opens at the neck or is easy to protect with a drape. We work face, neck, and often décolleté.
What to expect in the room
We start with a short skin read and a plan out loud — what we will do, what we will skip, and whether extractions make sense today. You can always say no to a step. Pressure should feel purposeful, not painful.
Most Signature visits run about 60–75 minutes. Glow Rituals sit around 75 minutes. Advanced Tech varies by device.
Aftercare that protects your results
- SPF before you go outside — even if it is cloudy.
- Expect a soft flush for a few hours after many facials; stronger pinkness can last 24–48 hours after extractions or peels.
- Light makeup a few hours later is usually fine after Signature or Glow; wait until morning after deeper work if we advise it.
- Skip the sauna, hard workout, and retinol the same night if skin feels warm or reactive.
- Do not pick flaking skin — hydrate and leave it alone.
Aftercare is quiet: SPF, gentle cleanse, moisturizer, hands off.
How long do facial results last?
The “just walked out” glow often lasts several days. Texture and clarity improvements build when you return about every 4 weeks. Device series (microcurrent, RF) need a plan, not a one-off. Details in how often to get a facial.
What to tell us when you book
- Your top skin goal in one sentence (congestion, glow, sensitive, event date).
- Any products that burn or any “do not use” list.
- Whether you have plans that need zero downtime in the next 48 hours.
