Neck & décolleté treatment: the glow below the jawline

The areas photos catch when the face is done — firming, brightening, and how Body Glow stacks with a facial.

Neck and décolleté massage and skin care treatment

A neck and décolleté treatment cares for the skin below the jawline — where sun, posture, and perfume friction show up in photos even when the face is polished. At Skin Glow Studio this is Body Glow: firming massage, brightening care, and texture work that pairs cleanly with any facial.

Most people stop their cleanser at the jaw. SPF stops there too. Then a V-neck, a bridal portrait, or a video call from above makes the mismatch obvious: smooth face, sun-tired neck, crepey chest. Body Glow is the fix for that cut-off line.

Why the neck ages loudly

Neck and décolleté skin is not “face junior.” It behaves differently, so face-only habits fail it:

  • Thinner skin, less oil — dries out faster and shows texture sooner
  • SPF skipped — cheeks get product; collarbones get sun
  • Phone and laptop posture — repeated “tech neck” folds that stay after you put the device down
  • Fragrance and jewelry friction — perfume, chains, and necklines rub the same zones every day
  • Weight and sleep — side sleeping and fluid shifts show on the jaw-to-neck transition

Portraits and open necklines catch all of it. Face-only routines leave a visible line where care stopped.

What we treat

  • Neck & jaw sculpt — soften tension lines, improve definition from chin to collarbone
  • Décolleté renewal — sun dullness, rough texture, uneven tone on the chest
  • Optional hand & arm polish — for ring photos, short sleeves, and a finished “set”
  • RF along jaw/neck — when firmness is the Advanced Tech goal — see the RF facial guide

We stay in the cosmetic lane. Active rashes, open wounds, recent medical procedures on the chest, or dermatologist restrictions mean we modify or wait. Tell us what is going on before we book heat or deep massage.

What a Body Glow visit feels like

About 45–60 minutes on its own. From $145 on the menu (confirm current pricing when you book). The shape of the visit:

  1. Quick read — sun history, jewelry/fragrance habits, photo goals, any sensitivity on chest or neck.
  2. Cleanse — remove SPF, makeup residue, and product that stopped at the jawline.
  3. Massage — firming and lymphatic-minded strokes along neck, jaw, and often into the décolleté. Purposeful pressure, not a rough “burn.”
  4. Targeted products — hydration, brightening, or barrier support chosen for thinner skin — not the strongest face acid by default.
  5. Finish — a leave-on layer that respects clothing necklines so you can dress without sticky transfer.

You can book Body Glow alone or stack it after a facial in the same appointment block when the schedule allows. Aftercare is simple: SPF, soft fabrics the same night, and no heavy chains dragging across freshly treated skin.

If the face is the headline, the neck is the subhead — readers notice both.

Stack with a facial

Stacking is how open-neckline photos look intentional instead of half-finished:

  • Signature + Body Glow — monthly reset that includes below the jaw. Best default if congestion and neck care both matter.
  • Glow Ritual + neck — event photos, V-necks, bridal portraits. Face gets dewy finish; neck gets the same story.
  • Sculpting / microcurrent face + neck RF — only when we plan barrier status and timing. We do not stack every device in one visit for the ticket.

Wedding open necklines: bake neck care into your wedding facial timeline. Engagement shoots in daylight outdoors? Mention that — we prioritize SPF-friendly finish and no surprise pinkness.

How often to book

  • Maintenance: every 4 weeks with a Signature Facial, or Body Glow alone if the face is already on a schedule elsewhere
  • Event: include neck 3–7 days before open-neckline photos
  • Firmness series: RF or contour plans often need several visits — we map spacing so the neck is not an afterthought on visit four

More detail by goal: how often should you get a facial.

Home care that matters

Chair time helps. Daily habits decide whether the line under the jaw softens or comes back:

  1. Extend cleanser and moisturizer to the chest — if it only hits your cheeks, the décolleté will look older first.
  2. SPF on neck and décolleté every morning — reapply if you are outside for photos or driving with the window down.
  3. Perfume placement — spray on fabric or lower torso when skin is freshly treated; alcohol on irritated décolleté is a common flare.
  4. Jewelry the same night — skip heavy chains that drag across treated skin for 24 hours when possible.
  5. Retinoids on the neck — only if your barrier already tolerates them on the face. Start slow, buffer with moisturizer, and stop if you peel or burn.
  6. Posture check — you will not fix tech neck with cream alone, but raising the screen and unclenching the jaw helps the massage hold longer.

Studio note Bring the neckline you care about — a photo of the dress or the usual V-neck is enough. We treat what the camera will see, not a generic “chest package.”
